ONE YEAR IN PORTLAND
Last Saturday marked my one year anniversary of moving to Portland! Finding a soul mate (aka Caitlin), making amazing friends, hikes and many other outdoor adventures, teaching at my dream studio, working for two amazing companies and with amazing people, helping open a studio, so much travel and adventure… What an incredible experience this past year has been! I can’t wait to see what this next year brings forth!
YOGA DATES
Last weekend I got in as much yoga at Flex & Flow as I could before leaving for Colorado. I finally felt like I could practice fully! It’s so awesome getting to flow with friends and sweat, sweat, sweat!
RETURN TO BRECKENRIDGE
This week in Breckenridge has been absolutely amazing! It truly feels like I never left! Running into friends and acquaintances left and right, having people ask if I’ve moved back, going to my favorite coffee shops and restaurants, skiing my favorite runs…
REUNIONS WITH FRIENDS
Coffee dates, wine dates, and ski dates, oh my! I’m so lucky to have so many amazing friends in this town. There are no words for the amount of love I feel when I’m here.
THURSDAY AFTERNOON SKIING
I had already skinned up in the morning, so when my dad decided to take the afternoon off from skiing, I nearly did too. It’s super spring skiing conditions right now, so if I still lived here I wouldn’t be doing much resort skiing. But I figured why not head up for a bit for the afternoon. I ended up having the best day of the year! I headed straight over to Peak 8 and up 6 Chair. I did a lap on Lobo and then went up Imperial (the highest lift in North America at 12,840′). I did a lap in the bowl there and then went over to Whale’s Tail on the backside. Hello snow stashes! I took T-bar back up over to Imperial and ended up hiking up to the peak TWICE! The peak above the lift is 12,998′! The first hike-to, I went down the top park of Imperial Bowl, and then hiked up again to dip back into Whale’s Tail. For only three hours of skiing and about 5 runs, I definitely made it count!
