The summer free-for-all is over

Summer is a time of healthy living: sunshine, sweaty activities, outdoor adventures, fresh fruits and vegetables.

It’s also a time of living it up, of saying “yes,” of kicking habits off to the wayside. There’s been a lot of disruptions to my routine this summer. Friends visiting, seeing someone in town for just the summer, big celebrations, constant travel, catching up with friends when I’m back home. It’s all been fun, not to mention delicious…

From all the wine, bread, cheese, and pizza in Italy…

…to fish dishes galore in Norway.

We celebrated birthdays, bachelorettes, graduations, engagements, and reunions.

We prepared delicious spreads for park picnics, wilderness camping, and backyard cookouts.

I happily carbo-loaded before my 25K race.

Between trying to reconnect with friends when I get back from trips and taking visitors to some of my favorite spots, I feel like I’ve definitely made a Portland food tour.

  • Brunch at Proud Mary
  • Tapas at Ox
  • Sushi at Bamboo
  • Noodles at Kati
  • Pizza at Oven + Shaker
  • Tapas at Tusk
  • Burgers at St. Jack’s

To name a few…

Yes, it’s been an amazing and delicious summer. But I’m ready to buckle down, find my routine, regain my balance. I feel fluffy and tired and scattered. I’m ready to be cooking at home more, aiming for more hours of sleep every night, pacing out my workout schedule throughout the week better.

I’m excited to have a kickstarter for my return to routine: the Sparkling Detox with Gerolsteiner. All week long we’re swapping out Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water for our beverages. Hydrating, refreshingly effervescent, and full of calcium and magnesium, it’s the perfect way for me to start getting back on track and, more importantly, feeling better.

Join me! It’s as simple as it sounds, just swap out your drinks for Gerolsteiner. Cheers!
